Always show Zotero icon in Firefox regardless of type of website

Hi everyone,

I would like to set up the Firefox "Save to Zotero" connector to *always* show the Zotero icon, instead of changing its appearance depending on the type of website I'm currently on. Is that possible?

I'm using
Zotero Connector 5.0.64
Firefox 75.0
Ubuntu 18.04.4

No, that's not possible. The icon gives a fairly important clue as to whether Zotero detected high-quality metadata on a site, which helps you know whether things are working properly and how much of a priority it is to go and fix the metadata in Zotero right away.

We do have an open ticket to add a small Z that always appears on the icon to make the button easier to identify in the toolbar even with the changing item type icon.

Personally, most of the time I add entries from the same sites. So I know the metadata is going to be fine. Maybe it would be possible to add a preference option to always show the Zotero icon? As it is right now, I always end up searching through all add-on icons for the correct one...

I guess a small Z might also do the trick. But again, personally I would prefer to have a large Z and a small metadata icon in the corner of the Z...
