Breaking footnotes across a page

Hi: I'm using Open Office 3.1, the latest zotero 6.5 beta and latest OO plugin. I noticed the following: I set up the footnote format in OO using Tools| Footnotes...., and I include the word "continued" as the continuation notice. I insert a footnote which breaks across a page, inserts the word "continued" as expected, then adds the number 5 right after it. I can't say if this is an OO problem or something in the plugin. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. I've found this to be repeatable every time.
