Current library has been modified outside of web library

I'm working with a multinational group on research related to COVID-19. When editing citations via the web library, I am frequently encountering this error: "Current library has been modified outside of web library and had to be reset to remote state to allow editing". Is there any way to stop this happening? I suspect it's because multiple people are editing different parts of the library at the same time but at the moment we can't really avoid that.

    The web library doesn't currently have automatic updates like the desktop app (where changes appear within a few seconds), so it currently requires refreshing to get the latest version. For now, if the library is in active use, we recommend that everyone make updates in Zotero itself.

    We're planning to add automatic updating to the web library later this year.
