Right-click not working on Linux

Good morning,

I seem to have a similar issue on Zotero on Linux : Right-click does not work at all. I cannot access documents or add link or anything. When this issue first occurred I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Zotero and it seemed to fix it for a while but the problem occured again very quickly.

What distro? Does right-clicking not work on anything (collections, tags in the tag selector, titles in the info pane) or just items?

Hello,

I am using zotero 5.0.85 on Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS. The right-click does not work only on items.
I also have the issue that I cannot close zotero properly, when I close the window and then try to launch it again I have an error message : Zotero is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Zotero process, or restart your system.

How did you install Zotero? How are you running it?

I installed zotero by downloading it from https://www.zotero.org/download/client/dl?channel=release&platform=linux-x86_64&version=5.0.85

then, I unzipped the archive and moved it to my /opt/ directory.

i sometimes run it from the icon in the launcher, sometimes with the zotero command in a terminal. Problems occur in both cases.

Does the menu not appear for any items, or only certain ones? Try parent, standalone note, child note, child attachment…
