zotero openoffice plug-in,

When I try to use zotero in open office (the toolbar is present), I get this message:

This version of the zotero word plugin (1.0b4) is incompatible with the currently installed version of the Zotero firefox extension (2.ob6.4). Please ensure that you are using the latest version of both components.

I have downloaded the openoffice plugin but it is just sitting unintegrated (I think) on the desktop. I believe I have the latest versions of each, but when I downloaded openoffice again, it, too, just sits on my desktop. I am using openoffice 3 and do not have Word loaded on this machine.

I do hope somebody can help me with this.
