Items not showing in search function
Hi everyone,
I am working in the desktop version of Zotero.
When I search for an article, it is not always displaying all possible results in the search function.
Let me set this out as clearly as possible, with an example:
1. I have two articles in my library by an author named 'Bratman' (one for 2012, and one for 2015). Both of these articles are sitting in the same sub-collection folder (the 'parent' folder of this sub-folder is called 'Research Project'). They don't appear to differ from each other in any way (both sit within their own 'parent item').
2. I can see both 'Bratman' articles within 'My Library', and when I do a search whilst in that screen, both Bratman articles are retrieved.
3. When I do a search within the sub-folder, which is the actual home to both of these articles, both Bratman articles appear.
4. However, when I click on the 'Research Project' parent folder, only one Bratman article is visible within this collection. And when I do a search from here, sure enough, only one Bratman article comes back at me in response. I have tried searching while using 'Title, Creator, Year', 'All fields and tags', and 'Everything' mode.
This has been an ongoing issue. I don't want to have to sure that I am always in the correct folder, in order to find a particular article!
I would like it so that every 'parent folder' contains/displays each and every article included in each of its sub-folders.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Belinda.
