First citations always et al.

Hi there, I have been using Zotero for a few years now and recently it has started entering a first citation (when set on APA) as et al. - even when it should list all the names to start with - for example, if a journal article has 3 authors, it will enter the in-text citation with the first author's name and then et al, instead of listing all 3 authors the first time and then as et al after that.

Can you please help...

Thanks
  • APA 7th edition changed the rules so that et al is always used with 3+ authors. Even on the first citation. This is correct APA style.
  • Oh, OK, I didn't realise, thanks so much :)
