Add notes and highlighs from PDF as note in Zotero

When I'm reading an article I used to comment or mark the interesting parts directly in the pdf-article. I then save and overwrite the according file. Now I'd like to add these highlited texts and comments to zotero (e.g. as note) to get a better overview of the documents. Is this possible?

Yes, you can use the ZotFile plugin to extract highlights and annotations into Zotero notes.
