I have a long (very long) list of authors
Hi
I have a long (very long) list of authors separated by commas (for example: name1 surname1, name2 surname2, name3 surname3 ..., etc.), is there a quick way to enter them in Zotero?
thanks in advence

This is an old discussion that has not been active in a long time. Before commenting here, you should strongly consider starting a new discussion instead. If you think the content of this discussion is still relevant, you can link to it from your new discussion.
So, this format:
Surname1<tab>Name1
Surname2<tab>Name2
With your existing list in the format you describe, paste it into Excel or another spreadsheet program, then use the Text to Columns function to split on each comma. Copy the new columns and Transpose Paste them so they are one column with multiple rows. Then use Text to Columns again, this time splitting on a space character. Swap the order of the surname and name columns so surname comes first. Finally, copy the two columns names, paste into the Author field in Zotero, and type Enter.
