Issues with Google Chrome connector

Hi, I have Google Chrome installed as my browser but I cannot seem to link Zotero to Google Chrome. When I try to install the connector, it asks me to install Chrome - but it's already installed.

I have also tried via the browser, under extensions, but when I search for Zotero nothing comes up.

Please help as if I can't connect the two things, Zotero becomes obsolete…

    What's the exact text you see, and where do you see it? The "Install Chrome Connector" button on the download page simply takes you to the Chrome Web Store, where you install the Zotero Connector by clicking the install button, as with any other Chrome extension. You have to do that from within Chrome itself. If it's saying to install Chrome, you're likely running some other browser.
