Library feed very messy
The library feed is very messy ATM. It doesn't list just top level items, but also attachments and notes, leading to lots of unhelpful duplicates.
The feed becomes all the more unhelpful because attachment entries in the web interface are pretty much useless as long as there are no ways of actually sharing or linking to files in it.
Also, with the rich data that is available, there are plenty more ways to make the actual listing in the feed more helpful. E.g. Author - Year - Title for starters, instead of just Title.

dstillmanedited August 5, 2009Add /top to the end of the URL path to get only top-level items. This will be in the API documentation, which will be published soon. It probably makes sense to embed both options for auto-discovery, since I imagine some people will want to see child notes in their feeds.Good idea.
