Issue with Zotero wrongly adding differentiating letters to in text citations in Word

This is hard to explain so sorry if it is confusing or long. I am working with a faculty member who is writing an article using the Organization Science style. It is in-text citations and she is having an issue with Zotero adding a letter to the end of some of her cites. She will cite the same article more than once in the work and the second time it will look like (Jones, 1995b). It doesn't do it to all citations. We have checked Zotero for duplicates but there are none and the author is only listed in Zotero once for one article.

I had her refresh the document. I had her make sure her Zotero and Word plug in were up to date and reinstall her plug in. I had her change her style to Chicago in-text, but it did it in that style too.

I cannot get it to replicate the issue in my Zotero so I am assuming there is something in her collection that is making it happen but I can't figure it out.

Any suggestions?
