emptying trash

pro.mahatma
i just delete old items from my library.
but, after many times i try to empty the trash those files are still displayed.
what's wrong? any one has similar issue?

    I'm not quite sure what you mean here. If you deleted them, where are they still displayed? In the trash? Note that if you only delete child attachments, the parent items will remain in the library and show in the trash as gray context rows above the attachment items in the trash.

    i would like to empty the trash bin with 580 items. is it to big to empty?

    No, that should be fine (though Zotero will automatically delete items from the trash after 30 days). You can also just select smaller batches of items in the trash and delete them permanently.
