Groups- not open access papers

Hi all,

I am in a situation where in my zotero group folder some people have access to papers and some people do not have access to papers (I mean people without subscription to journals).

The idea is that everyone should have access to papers (to the PDF). I am wondering, if I save a paper from the web page in the elsevier web (for example). Would the people without access have access to the PDF ?

Because at this point, If I save papers in Zotero, I can access to them but maybe people without access cannot see the PDFs

Does it make sense? - sorry maybe is not very simple to explain.
Thanks!
Adriana.
  • If you share papers through a Zotero group, you're sharing the PDF. Anyone in the group has access to that; Zotero doesn't -- and has no way to -- check if people have campus access to those papers. (Needless to say, it is your responsibility to ensure that sharing these papers, via Zotero or otherwise, is legal)

If people in the group don't have access to the papers, make sure the group allows file storage and then see https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/files_not_syncing
