Item Pane: Change the order of fields?

I have been unable to find a way to change the order of fields in the item pane (I have looked in the preferences, advanced preferences, and the dicussions here). As an example, I would like to move the “Abstract” field further down the list, say, between the “Accessed” and “Archive” fields.

Is there a way to do this or should I give up already?

    Not currently possible, but we're likely to move Abstract down in a future revision of the item pane. (It's at the bottom in the new web library.)

    Note that, in the meantime, you can toggle the Abstract field open and closed by clicking on the label.
