Upgrade StorageUsing Zotero on ChromeOS but installing it in Crouton xfce

I am using my HP 14 Pavilion Chromebook with crouton to enable xfce usability as well. Now I have installed Zotero in xfce and I can prompt it from my chrome-browser whilst in ChromeOS. However, when I do so the select article window opens in xfce. Is there anyway I can force it to open on my ChromeOS screen or should I just give up and work in my xfce screen?
