Zotero would not start in Mac

The desktop version of Zetero has been working fine on my Macbook Pro for one year, but recently stopped working. There is no response after clicking the Zotero icon in the dock. I did the "Force Quit" to relaunch it, but still not working. I also reinstalled the latest version of Zotero (5.0), but same problem persists.

My Mac OS is Catalina 10.15.2.

  • Have you tried restarting your computer?

    If that doesn't help, see Reporting Startup Errors. If -ZoteroDebug doesn't cause a window to open, try -ZoteroDebugText instead to log to the terminal window, and then send any output to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread.
  • Thanks so much! After installing the new version and then rebooting, Zotero can be launched as usual.
