in-text citation not working

Hi, I have been having issues with my in-text citation in Word. I tried reinstalling Zotero already but it is not fixing the issue. It spits out a string of 'code' (?) that is almost as long as a page instead of just showing "xyz et al. 20xx". Any idea how to fix this? THanks!

You're probably just seeing the Field Codes.
