Statutes and explanatory parentheticals

Hi there,

Some of this seems to have been discussed in the past, but I wanted to post again in case there were any updates.

What is the best way to cite a statute? I have Indigo Book downloaded, but they don't render properly at all.

What is the best practice for inserting an explanatory parenthetical?

Also, if there isn't a good Zotero option and you want to manually input a citation, what is the best practice for that so that the supras are consistent?

Thanks!
  • If you are doing legal writing, I recommend you use Jurism, a version of Zotero with much expanded support for the complexities of legal citations: https://juris-m.github.io

There, you would enter the item as a Statue. If citations with Jurism aren’t coming out correct, then can you say exactly what you are seeing wrong with them?
