Journal of Mammalogy style is incorrect
The zotero style for journal of mammalogy is set so that all the author names are in a combination of small and large CAPS. We normally go by actual publications and use the pdfs for papers to check the reference format. Oftentimes the guidelines don't get updated.
This recent article shows the format we also generate with the citation style we have on the repository, i.e. small caps for authors.
