Help!!! Zotero Citation Dialog

Let me jump straight to the issue. Let me compare and contrast the usual and problem scenarios.

Usual Scenario:
1. I type an article details in citation dialog.
2. Options appear
3. I choose one of the options
4. I type another article details in citation dialog
5. Details appear
6. I choose article to cite

Problem Scenario:
1. I type an article details in citation dialog.
2. Options appear
3. I choose one of the options
4. I type another article details in citation dialog. The cursor is still in the previous citation. Whatever I type modifies the existing citation. The cursor does not move out of previous citation.

I have used Zotero for years and actively advocate it to my friends and students. Never have I ever faced this issue. I am using the latest update of Zotero. I have restarted system several times. I have reinstalled the word plugin. Nothing works. Please help.
