JRE is not recognized
I have the latest versions of Zotero, LibreOffice (6.3) and Java Runtime installed. I have repeatedly updated all three programs just to make sure.
Still, when launching, LibreOffice says that it needs JRE to load the Zotero extension.
When open, the Zotero buttons are present but don't do anything - no dialog boxes open up.
What could be going wrong?

and if you are on a Mac https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#libreoffice_on_macos_1011no_response_from_plugin
I'm on Windows 10 (64, I believe).
In LibreOffice, I took the following steps:
Tools>Options>Advanced
Under Java Options, I made sure the "Use a Java Runtime Environment" was checked (it was). Below this, it says "Java runtime environement (JRE) already installed:"
Below that, the window that is supposed to list the vendor, version and features is empty.
Could this have something to do with it?
In Zotero, I did the following:
Tools>Add-ons
In the Add-on manager, it says that both Zotero LibreOffice Intgration and Zotero Word for Windows integration are both enabled.
In the Windows 10 app/program menu, Java appears to be installed and fully updated.
Best Wishes,
Omar
I clicked the "Add" button on the right, then went to the both the Java folder within the Program Files folder and the ProgramData folder.
When I got to the end of each path, I got a message: "No items match your search" or it says "The folder you selected does not contain a Java runtime environment." Which folder do I select?
Java seems to automatically install 32 bit.
I re-installed it with the Windows Offline 64 bit.
Oracle 1.8.0 231 now appears on list.
Also, no error message regarding JRE occurs.
But still, nothing happens when I hit the Zotero buttons in LibreOffice.
I restarted LibreOffice.
I'm going to try re-starting the computer.
Thanks for your dedicated help to me and the open source community.
Now I have to learn how to use Zotero!
