Zotero not able to search collections and notes

I am unable to search for Item type is note and item type is a particular collection at the same time. The search comes up blank. Does anyone know how I can fix this feature?

    please give a precise description of the search you are using.
    It sounds like one of your search terms is
    "Item type" contains "NAME of COLLECTION"

    but that's not what you mean, right?

    Is the title of your collection an item type? i.e. do you have a collection called "Book"
    Please take a little more time to carefully explain your problem.

    I have:

    "item type" [is] "note"
    AND
    "collection" [is] "World War II"

    The search yields nothing although there are a multitude of notes in the collection.

    works for me. If the notes are attached to an item, check the "Include Parent and Child Item" option.
