Keep having to reinstall Chrome extension

Hi,

I have been using Zotero on Chrome for several years not, recently I began to have to reload the extension every time I relaunched Chrome. As far as I can tell there are no security settings that should be causing this and I do not have a new computer. Any thoughts on how to stop losing the extension?
