patent number

Hello,
I tried to import the patent number from Sci finder.
Sci finder allows Ris format (only format compatible with zotero) but once in Zotero, there is no patent number, which is
really annoying.

Do you have a tip?
  • Can you share a minimal RIS example from Scifinder including a patent number?
  • Ris format can only be read by databases. I cannot show you the file, and I cannot attach a RIS file in this forum.
However, when you import a RIS file in Endnote for example, the patent number is indicated. In Zotero, the patent number is blank, rendering zotero useless for IP practitioners.
  • You can do a right click on a link to save the file for example. A RIS file can be opened with a simple text editor such that you then can copy the part with the patent number here. But alternatively there other options to share a file, e.g. https://pastebin.com/ .
