Changing language to UK doesn't have any effect on notes

I'm trying to use the UK English language and I've noticed that changing it in the zotero settings seems to have no effect on the notes since words ending in 's' instead of 'z' when writing are shown in red underline indicating wrong grammar which is not correct.

Is there a way to make zotero recognise that I wanna use UK english and not US pretty much everywhere including the notes section?

Thanks, just one clarification if I may. I have already installed the libraries for UK like hunspell, etc. since I use them in my thunderbird email client but somehow they are not picked from zotero.

I haven't installed zotero sytemwise but I have it running from my downloads folder. Where or how can I make zotero aware that in my system there exist UK dictionaries and libraries so that zotero can pick those up and use them.

you can't as far as I'm aware. Otherwise the workaround in the linked thread wouldn't be necessary.
