Zotero connector doesn't work with Firefox

Hi,

My Zotero connector in Firefox (last version) is grey and nothing happens when I click on it to save something. What can I do?

I tried to uninstall and reinstall Zotero (5.0.77) and Firefox (70.0.1). But the problem persists.

It works with Chrome. So I'm sure the problem comes from Firefox.

Try disabling all other extensions, restart Firefox and see if that helps. If not, try installing the Connector into a new Firefox profile https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles

Did you try in a new Firefox profile? Make sure you open a website (like zotero.org) before pressing on the Zotero extension icon since there's an initial welcoming prompt that does not work on blank pages.

You could try resetting your existing profile. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings

Note that this might delete your history, saved passwords, bookmarks and similar. Read the full page and make sure you know what you're signing up for.

I think I'm gonna transfer bookmarks and passwords in a new Firefox profile. Certainly the best solution.

I have the same problem and nothing worked either. When I started it today it updated somethin, I would guess, that that was the source for the problem. Pleas fix it!

@RebeccaUnibe: There's nothing to fix on our end. The Zotero Connector hasn't been updated since September, and Firefox 70 came out on October 22nd (and didn't change anything relevant to Zotero). See the responses above for things you can try.
