Bibiography in AMA looks wrong

Sometimes, the citations in the bibliography seem to be a paragraph including the number forgive incorrect citation format:

1. Doucette, JA. Medical papers blah, blah, blah, blah.part 1.
JAMA 100(2):135-136.
2. Doucette, JA. Medical papers blah, blah, blah, blah.part 2.
JAMA 100(2):135-136.

It should be:
1. Doucette, JA. Medical papers blah, blah, blah, blah.part 1. JAMA 100(2):135-136.
2. Doucette, JA. Medical papers blah, blah, blah, blah.part 2. JAMA 100(2):135-136.

Do we have a wrong setting or something? Had to disconnect cites from bib and loose the ability to edit the document.

Any ideas?
Joanne
  • I'm not totally understanding this. Are you saying that there's an extra line break in the citations?

And if that's the case, could you confirm if that always happens after a number like 1. 2. or if there are other scenarios? And if so, where is the "part 1" entered in Zotero?
