Upgrade Storagezotero not opening on ff 3.5
Zotero has stopped opening, there is no longer an icon in the status bar nor does it open with the short-cut alt-shift-z. Under tools>add-ons Zotero 2.0b6.3 is installed and enabled. I can also access the options for zotero from there.
Computer is running windows Vista
I have tried all the obvious and some less obvious fixes:
1. Re-installed zotero
2. Re-installed firefox
3. disabled all add-ons except Zotero
4. Unistalled skype (in full) - has been reported elsewhere to cause problems
5. new firefox profile
If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I really rely on zotero, I love it's features and organise all my references using it. I do have a back-up of my previous Zotero 1.0 library but don't want to go back to this as I have added over a hundred entries since then! I don't know what/ when exactly zotero stopped working. It worked intermitantly on ff 3.5 beta, and not at all since I've had the release version.

You're saying Zotero doesn't even appear after installation in a new Firefox profile with no other add-ons? When reinstalling Firefox, did you completely delete the program folder (which might contain extensions or plugins added by other programs)? Do you have any other system programs running that might interact with Firefox?

to remove the three files from my firefox profile:
extensions.ini
extensions.cache
extensions.rdf
For the record Zotero didn't appear in the tools menu, only under tools->Add-ons
