Loosing datas after upgrading to Zotero 2.0 Beta

I have this simple but very concerning problem...
I upgraded from Zotero 1.0.10 to 2.0 Beta . Before that, I had a backup of my datas by clicking “Show data directory” in the Advanced pane. After upgrading, when I opened Zotero, none of my data appeared, so I tried to import my library from the file of backup (a RDF file), but it didn't work... How can I have my datas back ??
Maybe I juste didn't understand how to access to my backuped library...

    another stupid but necessary question : what do you call "the active data directory", where I'm supposed to copy the zotero.sqlite file ???
    I'm realy sorry for the simplicity of that question...

    OK, the problem solved by itself today, just at the right moment, the day I quit my training period place, so THANK YOU to the person who helped me, even if I had no concrete answer...
