Zotero 4.0 to 5.0 Mac

I went to the download section and then when it told me to drop it into the applications folder it said Zotero was already there and would replace it. ! Is this correct? I don't want to lose my citations (I realized it was not uploading to online because I was out of storage. I bought more, and saw that it was the 4.0 to 5.0 issue also). Thoughts?

    Replacing is OK, yes. That's just the application, the data remains untouched by re-install/update.
