When I try to indtorduce a citation with google docs it takes years and says it is updating and I need to refresh the tab so it continues

adomasvenRestart both Zotero and your browser and try again. You should never refresh Google Docs tabs mid-way through a Zotero update and if you do, you will need to restart Zotero to get it to work again.
