Syncing to OneDrive through Zotfile
Hello,
I am new to Zotero and trying to set it up so that ...
a) I manage/organize all of my files through my computer, where I have Zotero app downloaded
b) can read and edit PDFs on my tablet through a shared One Drive folder
I set up Zotfile to move new and existing attachments to a custom location, my OneDrive & I set up Zotero base directory to be this folder as well.
However, when I open files through Zotero, they automatically replicate into the User > Zotero > Storage folder. Can you help me understand... what's the purpose of this? Is there a way to stop it? For my first 50 references, I do not have replicated files (due to moving files around), will this be a problem?
Also, is there any chance of files corrupting if they're downloaded to this shared folder, or is that only an issue if the data directory is moved to a shared folder?
Thanks for your help!
