Upgrade StorageHow can I rename files without moving them into zotero folder?
I want to use zotero/zotfile to rename pdfs but not move them from their original folder (wherever I filed it away) to zotero storage folder.
When I try to do this however, the pdfs are moved from their original folder to zotero storage folder, and I have to move them back to their original folder. Furthermore, the link to file is broken now so I can't use zotero to jump into pdfs immediately.
Could anyone help me figure out what I am doing wrong? The way I do it is:
1) I first click 'link to file'. At this point, a link to the original file in the original folder is created but the file isn't moved to the zotero storage folder.
2) But then when I click 'manage attachments'>'rename attachments' to automatically rename the file, the file is renamed but moved into the zotero storage folder.
