Cannot create bibliography

Hello,

Whenever I import a new document and try to create a bibliography, I get an error message saying 'The items you have selected contain no references. Please select one or more references and try again.' but surely it contains a reference.

I thought this may due to a connection error, as I also get a message saying 'Error connecting to server. Check your Internet connection.' on the top right corner. However, I have internet connection so I have no idea what is going on.

It will be great if you can help me with this issue.
