Came across this thread as I have the same error message. Updated to the latest beta and it continuous to halt on the file sync for the newest 9 files (admittedly, some of them are book pdf files of nearly 100mb if this helps - on a landline with 900kb upload speed). Debig id is: D1126109918

There was a problem with longer uploads in Zotero 5.0.75 that should be fixed in 5.0.76, available now via Help → Check for Updates.

Many thanks dstillman ! that worked. I did do the Help → Check for Updates yesterday before installing the beta version so obviously a day too early :-)
