Can't save records from library database AND saved records are incorrect
Hello all,
I just upgraded to beta 2.0b6.3 and I am no longer able to save records from my University of Illinois catalog database. Either no blue book appears in the Firefox location bar OR if a book does appear and I try to save to my library, an empty red outlined box appears in the zotero pane and nothing is saved. This catalog database is using Voyager 2. There are no error messages reported. This catalog database is the same database I have been using for more than a year without problems.
I also noticed last week that no book icon appears in the firefox location bar when using a Voyager library maintained by the National Park Service.
Finally, when I save items from Amazon.com and other recognized repositories, the publisher and place information either is not saved or is saved in the wrong fields. I'm becoming wary of using Zotero beta with all of these new bugs.
Please let me know if I can provide further information to try and track down what the problem is with my Zotero.
Best,
Jennifer

The National Park Service uses the standard Voyager translator and works fine for me. Please provide example URLs that aren't working for you.
Amazon doesn't provide the place of publication, and never has.
If you have other specific examples of things not working, please provide URLs.
I tried the NPS library site again this morning and it is now working for me - THANK YOU! Previously, there was either no icon in the address bar OR no place information was transferred.
I do know that Amazon.com doesn't include place information, which is why I try to rely on the University of Illinois and Illinois (I-Share) consortium catalogs. However, the VuFind information downloads incorrectly placing extra characters in fields and also putting place information in the publisher field and no information at all in the place field. Both publisher and place are provided in VuFind. Here is a link where I have had this problem:

As to the University of Illinois catalog, nothing is translating. When I tried to update my translators, I got the "up to date" message. Here is a link to a record in the catalog that I tried to save to my Zotero library and just received the empty red box:
https://i-share.carli.illinois.edu/uiu/vwebv/holdingsInfo?searchId=196&recCount=10&recPointer=2&bibId=4141732&searchType=7
I'm wondering if I have something corrupt in my Zotero program...
Thank you for your help on this. Please do let me know if you discover anything else that may explain why I am having so many issues.
All the best,
Jennifer
here's another example

interestingly (and also as a nice workaround for you)
if you import from the search results (by clicking the folder and then checking the items to import) the import works fine, e.g. here:
http://vufind.carli.illinois.edu/vf/Search/Home?lookfor=thelen&type=all&start_over=1&submit=Find
or here for the Bourdieu
http://vufind.carli.illinois.edu/vf-uiu/Search/Home?lookfor=a+social+critique+of+the+judgement&type=all&start_over=1&submit=Find
(though this one doesn't import a place, but at least it get Harvard U Press correctly)
The link for issue number 2 is broken for me, so I can't check for that.
If you are talking in general terms, rather than just about this specific issue see:
