How to Save Older Version of Paper from arXiv?

I am using the Zotero Chrome extension to save papers.

I am trying to save the v1 version of a paper:
https://arxiv.org/abs/1702.00382v1

However, when I click the Zotero icon to save the paper, it saves the v2 version of the paper. This is also the case when I'm viewing the v1 pdf directly in the browser.

Is it possible to save older versions of arXiv papers using the Zotero Chrome extension? I can manually add the older citation and paper, but wanted to know if there was some way to do this automatically with the Zotero Chrome extension.

It should work to view the PDF of v1 and then click the Zotero button if it is showing you a PDF icon on the button. If that doesn’t work for some reason, you can drag the icon on the left side of the URL bar from the PDF viewer page to Zotero and it will download that file and retrieve metadata.

Zotero was not showing the PDF icon when I viewed the PDF, but was rather showing the article icon. Although clicking that icon, Zotero saved the newer version. However, I was able to navigate the extension menu and select the option to save it as a PDF, which saved the v1 version I was viewing (and wanted to retrieve).

This worked too.

In both cases where I could save the v1 pdf, the auto-generated metadata in Zotero did not indicate the version, so I've manually added that (changing "arXiv:1702.00382" to "arXiv:1702.00382v1", per the comment on arXiv for citing a specific version).
