"Index"?

Hello,

I am new to Zotero, and am unsure what the "index" fonction is for and do not know how to use it.

    Indexing means scanning the full text of PDFs so that they're searchable in Zotero (either via Everything mode in the search bar or Attachment Content in the Advanced Search window), but it happens automatically as you add PDFs when possible, so you don't really need to worry about it. Pretty much the only time you would need to reindex something manually would be if you ran OCR on a PDF that previously was just images and replaced the original file.
