How do I create the above Private Key?

I would appreciate directions as to navigate the forums. I am new to the ways of forums. I have two questions on the docket. The more important is: what is the format for a "Private Key" as requested in the Feeds/API?

What exactly are you trying to do in general?

Starting with Zotero.org >settings >API/Feed.
On the screen, there is an instruction "Create new private key"
I entered password-like symbols, and response was incorrect format.
The question is what is the private key, and what is the formatting.

I have a blog, and I am making use of Zotero and Zotpress. I think that the use of these software create the need for the "private Key"

It’s better to just use OAuth to log into Zotero from your Wordpress server. If that’s not possible, just click Create New Private Key and leave the automatically generated text as it is.

Thanks for your suggestion. WordPress was asking for some sort of validation in order to use ZotPress as a plug-in. It turned out that the Private Key was a corruption of my email address. In answer to second part of your question, I am creating a blog.
I intend to enable citations and bibliographic content.

ZotPress supports OAuth (redirecting you to zotero.org to login, then going back to WordPress). I recommend you use that.
