This report popped up when I was importing a large XLS file exported from EndNote.

    Large imports in some formats can currently use a lot of memory, and the Windows version of Zotero is currently limited to a fixed amount of memory.

    We're planning to fix imports to use less memory, but for now your best bet is to export in batches from EndNote. (You don't really mean XLS, right? What format are you using?)

    Thanks -- that explains it. It was a big batch of references, and I subsequently did it successfully by breaking it up into smaller batches.

    No, you're right, I wasn't using XLS. It was XML. Well, I got the "X" right. Oops.
