Not able to add bibliography or cite in google docs

I am a new user and attempting to add a bibliography in google docs. I have tried in both Chrome and Firefox, and am on version 5.0.59. I click the "Zotero" menu, and the options to cite, add a bibliography, document preferences, etc, however clicking any of these does nothing. I am not able to add anything to a google doc.

Try restarting Zotero and your browser. When you initiate an action, look through Zotero windows. Generally the citation popup should open on top of all other windows, but that doesn't always happen.
