Is there a way to change doi citatation in APA to format as doi:xxxxxx rather than https://doi.org/xxxxx?

The new APA 6 guidelines include the web address format as the preferred format. See:

edit: when I click on that link I am taken instead to the beginning of the APA blog when I use my tablet (Safari) but when I use my notebook computer I go to the DOI part of the blog (Safari, Chrome, or Firefox).

Though if you must, we do have https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:apa-old-doi-prefix (but really, while APA still accepts the old format, it's incorrect according to the DOI foundation, CrossRef, and DataCite, i.e. pretty much everyone actually involved with DOIs, so if you have any choice, don't use it)

And the upcoming APA 7th edition will require the DOI.org format. You should stay with the standard APA style.
