Imported pdf will automatically be copied to the storage folder under Zotero Install Directory?
Hi everybody!
When I import a pdf research article into Zotero, it will generate a new record. When I double click it, it will jump to a new pdf in the storage folder under Zotero Install Directory. So the software will automatically copy the imported pdf?
Wouldn't that be a waste of computer's storage space?
Thank you !

In a standard Zotero workflow, you'd usually be adding PDFs via your web browser (often by clicking the Save to Zotero button on an article page), in which case they'd just be automatically stored within the data directory. So in that case, there's no other copy.
When manually adding a PDF as a stored file, you would normally delete the original PDF after adding it to Zotero.
