Gab between text and the citation is too big.

Hi everyone,
my problem is simple, I hope someone can help.

The gab between the text --> the line --> citation is too big.

Exp. what it looks like:

As you can see the gab in the first example is much bigger than the second example could someone help me on this please.

What citation style, what word processor, and how are you inserting citations?

This is controlled by the Word footnote formatting, not Zotero. In the View ribbon tab, click Draft. Then in the References ribbon tab, click Show Notes. Finally, click the drop down menu in the window that pops up, choose the “separator” items, and delete the extra spaces.

You may want to change your Normal template or save a new template that doesn’t have these extra spaces by default.
