Sync spins forever

Hi I am trying to use zotero on a windows 7 box on firefox 3.5 - the add-in works fine but the sync just spins forever, nothing happens and I get no error message. I notice if I go into the perferences tab, the password is always blank (regardless of how many times I complete it).

Restart Firefox and try again. If it happens again, send in a report via Report Errors under the gear menu and post the Report ID here.

This is a Firefox problem, not a Zotero problem. See this Mozilla support thread for a possible solution.
