Problem with chcaracter encoding in author name

When I'm using option for PDF file - Retrieve metadata some characters are missing in author field ( names are Polish) like ł ś ć etc. Is there any way to solve this problem ?

    I have pdf papers from Surface Science with such letters, if you could give me your e-mail address I'll send you one of those.

    If you try retrieve metadata from pdf in authors name fields will be missing some characters.

    Zotero relies on Google Scholar for its metadata retrieval, and it appears that Google is dropping characters in some of its export formats (.enw and .ris). We'll look into modifying our code to grab Google's BibTeX records, which do not seem to suffer this problem.

    I've adjusted the Google Scholar translator to resolve this problem. If no one else sees any problems with this change, we'll go ahead and push out the new translator shortly, and your Zotero client will update itself automatically.
