Zotero Word Plug-in changed all superscript footnotes back to standard script

I am using Word for Office 365 MSO (16.0.11727.20222). Last month I was working on this paper in AIAA format, which hasn't been updated since 2014 and uses footnotes in superscript format. When clicking Zotero>Refresh, all of my superscript text dropped back down to standard script. I don't see an easy way to reset these back up, and there are hundreds of footnotes. How can I fix this?
