Searching within a child note or report
I need to be able search my notes in a way that allows me to stay within the text while maneuvering through the results.
This used to be possible by generating a report and doing a Ctrl-F search. Now we are told to use the Find and Replace function in the child note. The pop-up for this function blocks most of the text from sight. This means I can't see the term's fuller context, scroll through the text around it, or scroll or jump to the next result -- I have to keep toggling back and forth between the function box that covers most of the text, and the text itself.
I thought, "well, I'll just do it the old way," but although I can still generate a report that opens up in a separate "Zotero" window, Ctrl-F doesn't work there even when I do it from the menu bar.
I am using MacOS Sierra 10.12.6
Hopefully I'm just missing something basic here .. thanks for your help.
