I'm having the same problem. When away from my university, I access MathSciNet via a proxy server in the university. This proxy server requires a password.

When looking at MathSciNet via this proxy server, Zotero doesn't work. When I click on the paper icon in the address field, the usual box appears in the lower right-hand corner... but then it vanishes, and the article is not added to my library.

For what it's worth, the URL I'm using is

http://www.ams.org.ezproxy.lib.utexas.edu/mathscinet/

But without a University of Texas account, you won't be able to access it.

Any suggestions?

UPDATE:

I just found that this problem only occurs with some MathSciNet entries. For instance, it was not a problem with:

MR2221153 (2007k:20087)
McCammond, J. P.(1-UCSB); Wise, D. T.(3-MGL-DM)
Coherence, local quasiconvexity, and the perimeter of 2-complexes. (English summary)
